St. Thomas: The Railway City is the opening exhibit to the Museum. This space features many different displays to walk visitors through the history of rail in St. Thomas and beyond. Displays showcase how our city became known as “The Railway City”, what lines and kinds of trains were running through St. Thomas, the uses of our Museum buildings in their prime, some of the many different kinds of positions of rail workers, and how railway employees experienced a lifestyle, not just a job and how this history has made our city what it is today.

Though the themes of these displays remain consistent, new artifacts are switched in to the displays each season to keep this exhibit fresh no matter how frequently you visit!
